| 1. Place your items on 2 x 4 boards
or pallets to guard against any dampness, once place a protective cover
under your goods. Cover all wood items with blankets or sheets, everything
else should be covered with plastic. 2. Rubbermaid (or the like) containers work best when packing. If you use cardboard boxes, please make sure that they are uniform in size for easier stacking. Do not put too much in each box. List contents of boxes on all four sides for easy access. 3. Furniture with drawers should be utilized as storage space for pictures, china, silverware, knick-knacks or any other fragile items. Use your towels, sheets or blankets to wrap these items. 4. We recommend that you pack 1 box/container per bedroom. In this box, place sheets/pillowcases, a towel(s), a washcloth(s), a bar of soap, a bottle of shampoo, toothbrush/paste, and if possible the bed pillow this way when you want to shower and make the beds, everything is ready for you without having to look through boxes. Also, if you place a dryer sheet (or 2) of any kind into your boxes of linens, you will avoid any smells they might absorb. 5. DO NOT store any kind of food. |
